Betty Louise Miller, 87, of Tower Hill, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Shelbyville Manor. Born May 27, 1929, in Pana, the daughter of Boyd E. Swaney and Marguarite L. Barnstable. She married Percy Miller on October 12, 1947 in Nokomis, he passed away on September 18, 2006. She was a member of the Dollville United Church of Christ. She retired from Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company where she was an operator and custodian. She enjoyed quilting, country living, traveling, camping, ATVs and spending time with family. Surviving are daughter Phyllis Ragan and husband Ron of Findlay; son Dan Miller and wife Ann of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Mark Christman, Craig Miller, Amanda Elmore, Grace Miller, Derek Schiefer and Shelby Schiefer; great-granddaughters Lyndsy Christman and Lea Christman and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Wilbur Swaney. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastor Steve Nance officiating. Burial will be in Marrowbone Cemetery in Bethany. Memorials may be made to the Dollville United Church of Christ.
