Betty Bernadine (Reid) Shull, 92, of Decatur, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Fairhaven Christian Village in Decatur. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shelby Christian Church. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family. Betty was born on March 26, 1925, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Charles and Della (Gordon) Reid. She married Owen Shull on June 11, 1949 in Shelbyville. Betty was a graduate of Shelbyville High School, retired from Sta-Rite and was a member of Shelby Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Tina Louise. She is survived by her nieces: Janet Plappert, Barbara (Fred) Monska, Debbie (Harold) Jordan and Connie Whitehead and nephews: Charles Reid and James (Martha) Reid. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brother Gerald Reid, nephew Jerry Reid and niece Marsha Banks. The family would like to thank the Fairhaven Christian Village staff, nurses, CNA's and her hairdresser, Janet for the love and care they gave Aunt Betty for the past 11 years.
