James D. Bolin, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 8:11 p.m. at the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.
In keeping with Jims wishes, there will be no public services. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
Jim was born July 5, 1937, in Sullivan, the son of Edward and Joy (Shadow) Bolin. On July 18, 2005 he and Patricia Childress were united in marriage. He was an insulator and asbestos worker for local 17 out of Chicago. Jim was a past member of the First Christian Church of Findlay and a member of the Findlay Masonic Lodge. He also served in the Air National Guard. He enjoyed golfing and socializing with his friends and family.
Surviving him are his wife, Pat of Shelbyville; daughter, Tara (Cecil) Cohn of Carterville; three sons: Vance Bolin of Shelbyville, Schell Bolin of Sullivan and Beau (Jill) Bolin of Carterville; seven grandchildren; sister Rose Mary (Ron) Wood of Sullivan and brother Mike (Penny) Bolin of Mattoon.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
