Survivors include his son Kevin (Amy) Rhoads of Olney; grandchildren Derek (fianceé Jessica) Hinton, Austin (Rachel) Rhoads, Briare (fianceé Abby) Hinton, Haley Rhoads and Chance Hinton; great-granddaughters Korbyn Hinton and Michaela Peters; sisters Evelyn Pierce and Norma Norton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother Bill Rhoads.
Max loved his family very much. He touched so many lives. He was loved by so many. It tickled him to no end to be called 'Papa Rhoadsey' by his great-granddaughters. He was so proud of his grandchildren and all they have accomplished.
Max had two passions. Squirrels and plants. If he gave you a plant he would offer to come by and water it. Max loved squirrels. He raised a few babies and released them when they were able to take care of themselves. He soon became known as the guy who raised squirrels. People would stop to see him and talk about his squirrels. If you knew Max you know he would happily talk to anyone. This great man will be missed by all.
