Philip J. "Chick" Reynolds, 79, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was born June 18, 1937 in Shelbyville the son of Herbert and Margaret (Donaldson) Reynolds. Philip spent several years in Chicago where he was a fireman for the railroad. Upon returning to Shelbyville he worked as a laborer/foreman for GW Prosser. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing horseshoes and bowling. He bowled on various bowling leagues throughout the years. He was a member and Past Master of Jackson Lodge #53 of Shelbyville, a member of Ansar Shrine of Springfield, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville. Philip is survived by his wife Crystal; children Brad, Penny (Jeff), Bryan (Margaret), Buzz (Cheryl), Bruce (Melody); stepdaughter Tiffiny; grandchildren Tifani (Craig), Nikki (Blake), Ryne, Bryan, Travis (Taylor), Manci (Ryan), Molly, Jacob, Josh, Kate, Bryce, Taylor (Austin), Mercedes (CJ), Benton, Gabby; great-grandchildren Kaytlin, Gracee, Kinley, Noah, Evan, Lennon, Liam, Grayson; siblings Larry, Nancy Kay, Mike and Alan (Brenda). Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings Phyllis, David, Jim and Kenneth, and grandson Brett. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastor Terry Walters. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
