Phyllis Maxine's Story
Phyllis Maxine Smith, age 81, of Shelbyville, Illinois, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at Medical City of Las Colinas.
Born October 25, 1936 in Illinois, she was the daughter of the late James Herbert Elledge and Mildred Frances Spires Elledge.
She lived in the Marshall, Illinois area the early part of her life, worked for Lake Construction Company in Shelbyville for 17 years before her retirement and later for Massey Ferguson. She moved to Irving, Texas in August 2017.
Survivors include her son James Michael Elledge of Marshall, Illinois; two brothers, Charles Philbert Elledge of McKinney, Texas and William Lee Elledge of Sun City, Arizona; a sister, Jacqueline Elledge of Irving; three granddaughters, Courtney, Jamie and Cammy Jo "C.J."; and several nieces and nephews including Kimberly Kaye Baca, Kristina Vaughan, Karen Walker, Lora Sodemann, Lynn Burton, Alan Elledge, Brian Elledge and Carrie Waxler and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Lisa Spencer.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving, Texas.
