Ronald "Ronnie" Vaughn, 75, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Ronnie was born December 26, 1941, in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of John Frank and Evelyn (Post) Vaughn. He was a 1959 graduate of Oblong High School. Ronnie was a labor business agent with Local 1262 in Shelbyville, IL, was a member of Prairie Grove Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and anything that involved being outdoors. Ronnie is survived by one son Gerald "Jerry" McNamara of Frisco, TX; daughter Rhonda McNamara of San Diego, CA; siblings Paulette Aper of Pana, IL, Larry Vaughn of Pana, IL, Sandy Keller of Flat Rock, IL, and Jane Moore of Palestine, IL; half-sister Theomae Smalley of Mt. Pleasant, MI; half-brothers Mike Newman and Merle Newman both of Robinson, IL; special friend Nikki Radcliff of Shelbyville, IL; three grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother Bill Vaughn. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, 302 West Main Street, Shelbyville, IL. Burial will take place at Wilkin Cemetery in Oblong, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
