Sheila Ann Wild, 81, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Sheila was born Sheila Ann Batson and grew up in Shelbyville, Illinois. She completed an associates program at Sparks Business College, also in Shelbyville, and served as a secretary and executive assistant until retiring in 1994.
Sheila married Embrey Jack Davis in 1954 and they had three sons, Mark, Brian, and Matthew. Sheila enjoyed attending and serving at Faith Lutheran church in Mansfield, Ohio and later at Living Lord Lutheran and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Sarasota, Florida. Following the death of Jack in 2002, she met and married Raymond Wild (2006).
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Loren Thomas and Anna Mae Batson, siblings Vance Batson, Rosaleen Culumber, Bryson Batson, Bonnavieve Galvin, Gloria Thompson, husband Jack Davis, and husband Ray Wild (2015).
Sheila is survived by her sister (Jo Linda Hodous), three sons and two step-daughters (Sheryl and Sharon), seven grandchildren (Bailey, Chelsea, Trevor, Cole, Lane, Grace and Jack), four step-grandchildren (Nicole, Brett, Jonathon and Jennifer). and five great-grandchildren (Mason, Landon, Lauren, Addison and Olivia).
Sheila's beautiful smile, kind heart and steadfast faithfulness and love will be greatly missed in the lives of all who knew her.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church,7461 Prospect Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243, Friday, July 1, at 11am.
A burial service will be held at a later date in Westerville, Ohio.
