Shirley M. Reynolds, 79, of Pana, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Shirley was born January 31, 1938, in Auburn, IL, the daughter of Dennis and Ruby (Hatcher) Handy. She owned and operated Hands Across Illinois for over 40 years where she cared for many, many people over the years. She came to adore those she cared for as her own extended family. She also enjoyed traveling, going to the boats and cherished time spent with family.
She is survived by her children: Brad Reynolds, Penny (Jeff) Mihlbachler, Bryan (Maggie) Reynolds, Buzz (Cheryl) Reynolds and Bruce (Melody) Reynolds; grandchildren: Tifani (Craig) McMaster, Nikki (Blake) Tucker, Bryan Reynolds, Travis Reynolds, Ryne Mihlbachler, Manci (Ryan) Sims, Molly Mihlbachler, Jacob Reynolds, Kate Mihlbachler, Josh Reynolds, Bryce (Amber) Reynolds, Taylor Reynolds and Mercedes (CJ) Runkel; great-grandchildren: Kaytlin Tucker, Gracee Tucker, Evan McMaster, Kinley Reynolds, Noah McMaster, Lenon Sims, Liam McMaster, Gracyn Runkel, Jaxten Reynolds and Korra Runkel; sister, Sue Taylor; brother, Butch Handy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Ruby Handy; grandson, Brett Reynolds; brothers: Russell and Gene; sisters: Barb and Betty. The family would like to thank Quad County Hospice, and an extra special thank you to Abigail Merker, for the excellent care provided to Shirley. Per Shirleys wishes there will be no services.
