Treva May Cole, 101, of Windsor, IL, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on March 2, 2017 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. A Celebration of Treva's Life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2017 with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor, IL. Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Windsor. Treva was born August 31, 1915, in Bondville, KY, the daughter of W.T. and Cora Camic. She married Richard Cole on December 3, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1996. Treva was a member of the United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She served the Lord with a kind and compassionate spirit. Although she was unable to attend church services the last few years she continued to make the communion bread for the church. She was a farmwife/homemaker and enjoyed raising a garden, her children and grandchildren alongside her husband. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family and baking. She loved making homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and pies for everyone she knew. She is survived by her two sons: Thomas (Karen) Cole of Windsor, IL and Curtis (Teresa) Cole of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren: Cary (Karyn) Cole of Windsor, IL, Stacy (Bridgette) Cole of Windsor, IL, Jennifer (Troy) Coleman of Findlay, IL, Amber (Michael) Holthaus of Dalton City, IL, Dustin (Whitney) Cole of Lubbock, TX, Adam (Trista) Cole of Edmund, OK, Jacque Thomas of Indianapolis, IN, Randy (Elizabeth) Cooper of Maryland, Sam Cole and Trevor Cole both of Indianapolis, IN; 20 great-grandchildren. Treva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Linda, son Richard Jr., six brothers and three sisters.
