Vickie Sue Sphar Redman, 66, of Shelbyville, passed away at home on Monday, March 20, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life to celebrate Vickie's life will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 with a gathering for friends and family from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Memorials may be made to the Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham. The family request casual attire. Vickie was born November 16, 1950, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Floyd Markley and Irma Pauline (Brownlee) Sphar. She married Larry "Sparky" Redman on July 3, 1987. She was a bookkeeper at G.W. Prosser for over 35 years, Barker Implement, Shelbyville Fire Department and Tower Hill Township. She was a member of the Shelbyville Moose Lodge and Woman of the Moose. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, photography, collecting photos and anything that took her outside. She is survived by husband Larry "Sparky" of Shelbyville; son Michael Cox of Elkville; mother-in-law Doris Redman of Vandalia; sister Connie Hall of Shelbyville; brothers Jim Sphar of Shelbyville; Jack (Janice) Sphar of Arcola; Rick (Glenda) Sphar of Shelbyville; brother-in-law Roger (Melinda) Redman of Maroa; sisters-in-law Pam (Bonnie) Hall of Ramsey, Lila (Mitch) Bordelon of Louisiana, Becky Redman of Vandalia and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Bill Sphar, sister Terrie Duncan and father-in-law James Redman.
